The heart behind Agape Love Films
I’m Tia, a Toronto family photographer creating relaxed, natural family photography sessions for families who want their moments held with care.
Agape Love Films is rooted in connection, quiet moments, and the kind of love that often shows up in the everyday.

I’m Tia
As a Toronto family photographer, my goal is to make every Keepsake Session feel relaxed, natural, and thoughtfully guided, so you have photographs of your family that you’ll return to for years to come.
There’s no pressure and no stiff posing. Just space to be yourselves, even if your child decides they have other plans five minutes in. It happens.
I’m a wife, daughter, sister, and dog mum, with a deep appreciation for the everyday moments that often go unnoticed.
The quiet ones. The in-between ones. The ones you don’t realise you’ll miss until they’ve passed.
The slow mornings, the familiar routines, the café stops, the family gatherings, and the small details that somehow become the whole memory.
I’ve been working in video and storytelling since I was 18, and it has been a steady part of my life ever since.
I studied film at an arts high school and later earned my Bachelor of Arts in Media Production, where I developed children’s television concepts and deepened my love for visual storytelling.
Over the years, I’ve worked in marketing and content creation and spent many seasons freelancing in video before photography found its way in.
Somewhere along the way, I realised I preferred real families over storyboards. They are less predictable, but honestly, much more interesting.
Photography holds something different for me. A single image can pause time and hold a moment exactly as it was.
That is what I love most about photographing families. It is usually the smallest moments that matter most: the way your child reaches for your hand, the look they give you when they feel safe, or the laugh that happens right after everyone stops trying so hard.
As a Toronto family photographer, I bring a calm, guided approach to every session while still leaving room for real life to unfold.
Working with families is a privilege. I get to help preserve your milestones, knowing these photographs will be treasured for years by you and by the people who come after you.
Not just the big moments, but the ones that felt ordinary at the time.
If this feels like the kind of experience you’re looking for, you can begin your inquiry through the form. I’ll guide you from there.
What Matters to Me

02
Family
Family means a lot to me, but not in a polished, always-together kind of way.
Mine is layered and full of life. A mix of Jamaican and Chinese roots, different traditions coming together, and the kind of gatherings where food is always at the centre. It’s shared meals, familiar recipes, and everyone bringing something to the table. It’s laughter, a bit of bickering, nieces and nephews moving through it all, and the occasional overly competitive round of Overcooked that somehow gets a little too serious.
Food has always been one of the ways we stay connected. It’s how we gather, how we slow down, how we care for each other without needing to say much.
I was raised closely within my family, alongside my parents and my maternal grandma. I lived with her growing up, and she was a steady, shaping presence in my life. She was glamorous, strong, and completely unapologetic in who she was. That kind of presence stays with you.
A few years ago, I lost both of my grandmothers within a short time of each other. That season shifted how I see time and family. It made the everyday feel more meaningful. The conversations you don’t rush, the meals you sit a little longer for, the quiet ways people show up for each other.
Because of that, I don’t see family as something perfect. I see it as something living and changing. It’s in the check-ins, the shared routines, the small moments that don’t seem like much at the time but become everything later.
That’s a big part of why I care so much about photographing families.
I know how quickly seasons shift, and how much the ordinary can come to mean. I’m not looking for perfection. I’m looking for what feels true. The closeness, the humour, the tenderness, and the moments that reflect your family as you are, right now.

04
Noah
I’ve spent almost a decade with my best friend, Noah. He’s half Shih Tzu, half Bichon Frise, and fully convinced he is the main character.
He’s my café buddy, walking companion, and tiny shadow through many seasons of life. He has joined me for pet-friendly café visits, fall walks, and even found his way into my proposal story.
Sweet, loyal, usually quiet and well-behaved, and occasionally very anxious, which honestly feels fitting.

01
My Faith
My faith in Christ is a steady foundation in my life.
It’s where I find peace, direction, and hope, especially in seasons where I’m learning to let go of control and trust God with the story He is writing.
You might be wondering where the name Agape Love Films comes from. Agape is a Greek word for a selfless, unconditional love. The kind that is given freely, without expectation.
That love has carried me through beautiful seasons and difficult ones. It reminds me that my life, my work, and the people I meet are not random.
I hold onto the promise of John 3:16, and the truth that love is at the centre of the story God is writing.
Whether you share that belief or not, my hope is simple: that you feel cared for, seen, and at ease throughout your experience.

03
Travel
Travel has always been one of the ways I feel most awake to the world.
I love the whole rhythm of it: early airport mornings, café stops in new cities, wandering unfamiliar streets, and finding the little places that somehow become the memory. A bakery in Tokyo. A quiet corner in New York. A beach morning in Riviera Maya. A simple road trip with friends.
I’m drawn to slow travel, the kind where you notice the light, the food, the walk there, and the small details you almost miss when you’re rushing.
That way of seeing naturally carries into my photography. I’m always looking for the honest, ordinary moments that hold more meaning than people realise.
And yes, I will absolutely take too many photos of skies, cafés, and anything that feels like a tiny cinematic moment. I have accepted this about myself.
Okay, enough about me.
Let’s talk about your family.
Time moves quickly. One minute you’re packing snacks, chasing toddlers, or trying to get everyone dressed at the same time. The next, this season already looks different.
That’s why I created Keepsake Sessions: relaxed, guided family photography sessions for the moments you don’t want to forget.
Whether it’s just you and your little ones, your dog who is clearly part of the family, a newborn season, or grandparents joining in, we’ll keep things simple and meaningful.
My sessions are designed to feel calm, natural, and easy to fit around real family life.
