Monica approached us for a “just because” photoshoot session, with the intention of using the photos on her social media profile. She was well-prepared, wearing a lovely cherry blossom dress and rocking ombre purple hair. What impressed us even more was her natural ability to pose without any direction from us. It made our job much easier!

Monica specifically wanted shots of herself surrounded by cherry blossoms, and we were thrilled to be able to capture that for her. The resulting photos were not only beautiful, but also had an artistic and moody feel to them. We loved capturing her twirling in her dress near water, as it added a dynamic element to the images. Adding movement to photos brings out emotions that can’t be achieved through traditional posing, and it always leads to stunning results.

One of the highlights of the shoot was during the golden hour, when the sun was at the perfect angle and time. The way the sun set on the horizon created a mesmerizing effect in some of the photos. What’s even more impressive is that we managed to capture these golden hour shots with minimal people in the background. It’s always a challenge, but we found just the right angles to make it happen.

It’s hard for us to pick a favorite photo from this session. Each one has a certain ethereal quality to it, which is always our goal in creating whimsical and dreamy portraits. This type of work truly inspires us to keep creating and doing these sessions. As a photographer, it’s moments like these that reaffirm our faith in our craft and remind us why we love what we do.
